From 28th February to 4th March, visit Gravity Malta in your best Carnival costume, enjoy our attractions, and TAG us in your photos and stories on social media! The wilder, the better – we want to see your most outrageous, fun, and creative looks.

Get ready for a spectacular Carnival celebration at Shoreline Mall on Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th March, from 11:30am to 4:30pm!

We’ve planned two full days of fantastic entertainment, competitions, and family-friendly activities – all happening in one place with free parking for your convenience.

This November, Shoreline Mall is thrilled to host an exciting Static Car Show featuring classic and iconic vehicles from two of Malta’s most passionate car enthusiast groups—the Malta Mini Owners Club and the Ford Owners Group. Join us on Sunday, 17th November, from 10AM to 1PM, for a celebration of automotive history, design, and culture!

Malta Mini Owners Club: A Legacy of Iconic British Engineering

The Malta Mini Owners Club, originally founded as “Team Mini 40” in 1998, was created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the legendary Mini’s debut. Over the years, the club has evolved and rebranded itself to reflect its growing community of Mini enthusiasts. Today, it remains a vibrant and active club that brings together fans of one of the most iconic cars ever produced.

The Mini was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, a brilliant British car designer of Greek-Turkish descent. Issigonis’ journey to the UK began when his family fled Smyrna (modern-day Izmir, Turkey) during World War I, eventually settling in Birmingham. With his keen engineering skills, Issigonis went on to create the Mini in response to the fuel shortages caused by the Suez Canal crisis, designing a compact, fuel-efficient car that quickly captured the hearts of car enthusiasts.

The Mini truly gained its legendary status when British Formula One racer John Cooper modified the engine to create the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S, which went on to win the Monte Carlo Rally four times consecutively. The Malta Mini Owners Club proudly celebrates this heritage and even participates in international events, including the annual International Mini Meeting held across Europe. Locally, the club is also involved in charitable events and fundraising activities.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the classic Mini was assembled right here in Malta? From 1974 to 1982, the Malta Car Assembly in Marsa produced these beloved cars, adding a unique local connection to this automotive icon.

Complementing the classic charm of the Minis, the Ford Owners Group Malta brings together fans of one of the world’s most popular automotive brands.
