Join us on Sunday, 17th November, from 10AM to 1PM, for a celebration of automotive history, design, and culture!

Malta Mini Owners Club: A Legacy of Iconic British Engineering

The Malta Mini Owners Club, originally founded as “Team Mini 40” in 1998, was created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the legendary Mini’s debut. Over the years, the club has evolved and rebranded itself to reflect its growing community of Mini enthusiasts. Today, it remains a vibrant and active club that brings together fans of one of the most iconic cars ever produced.

The Mini was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, a brilliant British car designer of Greek-Turkish descent. Issigonis’ journey to the UK began when his family fled Smyrna (modern-day Izmir, Turkey) during World War I, eventually settling in Birmingham. With his keen engineering skills, Issigonis went on to create the Mini in response to the fuel shortages caused by the Suez Canal crisis, designing a compact, fuel-efficient car that quickly captured the hearts of car enthusiasts.

The Mini truly gained its legendary status when British Formula One racer John Cooper modified the engine to create the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S, which went on to win the Monte Carlo Rally four times consecutively. The Malta Mini Owners Club proudly celebrates this heritage and even participates in international events, including the annual International Mini Meeting held across Europe. Join us for a fun Tombola on Friday, 11th October at 10am. Expect an enjoyable morning filled with laughter, prizes, and a wonderful community spirit! — all for just €15! from 10am up till 1pm. All proceeds will go to Europa Donna, and your participation will help support their incredible work.

👟 Fun Walk – POSTPONED

Our Fun Walk will take place on Sunday, 20th October, with check-in starting at 8am and the walk beginning at 8:30am. The route will take us through the scenic streets of Kalkara, and we’ll be back at Shoreline by 10:30am. It’s a great way to start your Sunday while supporting a fantastic cause.

On Friday, 25th October at 7pm, we’re hosting a special Gravity Party at the Gravity entertainment area. Enjoy two hours of unlimited access to trampolines, climbing walls, high ropes, and arcade games—all for just €10! It’s a great way for kids (10+ years) and adults alike to have fun while supporting breast cancer awareness.

All events require a €10 donation, except for the Tombola, which is priced at €15 for 12 games.
